Yes, I have reached the point of using natural ingredients as cleaners and I am now even making my own laundry detergent and fabric softener. It’s crazy to think that I even consider this a hobby of mine, however, nothing can surprise me anymore. I do enjoy making my own cleaners and following DIY recipes as well as experimenting and figuring out ways to better formulate all recipes I find on the internet.

Today, I have decided to show you how I make my fabric softener. It’s super cheap and easy to make. If you have allergies then I strongly recommend considering making your own laundry detergent and fabric softener because they are safe, natural, and will not cause any allergies!

How To Make Fabric Softner?

You might be surprised but I only use three ingredients – water, hair conditioner, and vinegar. Yes, I use conditioner as my main ingredient, and it works extremely well. I do not recommend you use an expensive one, just buy the cheapest one you see in store!

I use 6 cups of hot water – do not use cold or warm because the conditioner won’t be able to mix! I also use 2 cups of my hair conditioner as well as 3 cups of white vinegar!

Start off by mixing hot water and the conditioner in a bowl. Then mix very well. Finally, add the vinegar. Again, mix very well. Next, pour the mixture into a bottle or storage you have decided to use.

I usually use 1/4 cup of the fabric softener and add it to the container on my washing machine, however, you can also add 2-6 tablespoons directly to your laundry before turning on the appliance!
