I love cleaning with natural ingredients. By now, I have even completely ditched any commercial product and have entirely switched to cleaning my entire home with “green” ingredients.
Today, I wanted to focus on my bathroom cleaning routine and tell you exactly what I use and how I clean everything in the room!
How To Clean Your Bathroom With Natural Ingredients?
The first thing you need is vinegar!
One of the best cleaning ingredients you can have is vinegar – it cleans and disinfects. It’s effective and it’s quite inexpensive!
I make my “all-purpose cleaner” by using vinegar and water. It’s very easy!
If you are worried about the smell and you don’t want your bathroom to smell like vinegar then I have just the right solution to this problem – infused vinegar.
What does this mean? I pour vinegar in a mason jar then add essential oils, herbs, orange peels, and lemon peels. Then I put the lid on and leave the vinegar for a week. That way it will infuse with everything you have put in there and the smell will no longer be a problem. Once a week has passed, I remove all the herbs and peels I have placed, add a little bit of water then I pour the liquid in spray bottles!
How do I use this? I use it on every surface in my bathroom! From the countertops, bathtub, toilet, to even the light fixtures and mirrors!
– The second thing you need is baking soda
If there are any stains, build-up, or limescale that you have to deal with then I suggest you grab some baking soda, mix it with water in order to create a paste, apply it on a sponge – and use that as a scrub!
You can also use an old toothbrush instead of a sponge. Just soak it in boiling water so that you can disinfect it first!
